The premise

Enamel is a lens.

Natural enamel doesn't sit on the surface. It carries light into the tooth and lets it back out — refracted, scattered, slightly bent. Match that behaviour and a restoration disappears. Miss it and the tooth reads as one that stopped being alive. The work is the optics.
